Q: Who is Better At Home Health Services? |
A: We are an affordable and compassionate home health care service. We want to insure that our seniors are provided with the best possible in-home assisted living. We help families by taking time to understand their loved one’s needs and then customizing a care solution for their budget which can include personal care and companionship homemaker services. Better At Home Health Services are available from a few hours a week to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. |
Q: Who should consider home health care services? |
A: We care for the elderly, but also for adults that need assistance with everyday tasks. We assist with the activities of daily living include bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. This can extend to assistance with transportation, organizing paperwork and bills, and making appointments. We are also there to provide companionship and emotional support. |
Q: Does having home care result in a loss of independence? |
A: No. It actually increases independence! It Our goal is to enable you the best possible lifestyle while being in control of your cared daily decisions. We help seniors and other adults help themselves to live an independent, quality life while staying in their own home. We support them and encourage their independence in every way possible. |
Q: What is the difference between non-medical home care and home health? |
A: Home health care is generally defined as non-medical support services delivered at the home of the senior. The aim of home care is to allow seniors to remain at home longer rather than enter an assisted living community, nursing home or other type of senior care. Home health care may be appropriate if a senior prefers to stay at home but needs assistance with activities of daily living.We do not offer medical assistance, such as changing bandages, handling IVs, and administering medication but we will work easily with those agencies that do. Home Health Agencies will come in for a very short time to take care of medical needs. Our Home Health Aides will stay for 4-24 hours to help with activities of daily living and follow through with the care plan given to them by the nurse or physical therapist. |
Q: What services are included in non-medical home care? |
A: Our home health care providers can assist in the activities of daily living include bathing, dressing, meal preparation, making appointments and companionship. We offer assistance in rehabilitation services, everyday living tasks, or keeping track of medication usage, and much more. Your Certified Nursing Assistant can monitor your temperature, pulse, blood pressure and check respiration. |
Q: How can I trust a caregiver in my home? |
A: All caregivers are thoroughly screened. We check everyone’s backgrounds prior to sending them into your home. Approximately 90% of applicants do not meet our high standards. They are all bonded and insured, with liability, theft and workers comp insurance. All cases are carefully monitored and supervised by our Certified Senior Care Managers and our management team. Random visits to our clients’ homes are made regularly. |
Q: What if we don’t like our caregiver? |
A: We spend a great deal of time and energy to provide you with the right caregiver for your needs, personality and lifestyle from the beginning. However, if you are not satisfied for any reason at all, please contact the office and we’ll refer another caregiver to you quickly. |
